Join us at the 2025 AMS–SMT Joint Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for a multi-paper panel organized by the AMS History of Theory Study Group and SMT History of Theory Interest Group. This year’s theme, Histories of Hidden and Vernacular Theories of Music, brings together scholars exploring theoretical traditions beyond the familiar archive of elite treatises and composition manuals.
